Microorganisms take over crucial processes in our lives, from food, material or medicine production to computation or data storage – but, there is widespread fear and mistrust. 

I developed a process for producing kombucha caramel by attempting to extract colored pigments from the fermented dring.

I developed a process for producing kombucha caramel. Transformed into a lollipop the fear of microbial products is approached in a more playful and sensual way.

I used an alginate mould of my right hand’s fingers to shape it into kombucha finger lollipops.

The finger-shaped lollipops allow people to get in touch with Kombucha in a new way – lack of trust is not an issue here.
